You are invited to a celebration that honors you for all the dedicated effort you contributed to saving Late Mungers. Late Mungers was a BLM timber management plan that the community had been fighting for 5 years. A lawsuit filed by KS Wild, Cascadia Wildlands, Oregon Wild and Applegate Siskiyou Alliance put a final stop to logging in 17000 acres of Late Successional Reserves. The LSRs were designated as habitat for threatened species and BLM was not following its own rules by logging. Since 2019 there were many letters written, petitions sent, protests done, field checking and appeals. The court listened to what you had to say, recognized the value of our forests for its wildlife and citizens and said BLM’s plans were not legal.
On June 29 we are celebrating. Party begins at 5 PM at SCA. Bring food to share and your own plate, cup and silverware,
The exciting news is that Jen Ambrose will be entertaining us. Those that know Jen as a singer and songwriter are enthused with her ability to bring the house down with her powerful vocals and music.
Please come, bring chairs and blankets to sit on, dancing shoes and be honored.
